Currency 1 INR = 1.6 Nepal Rupee.
Indian currency is accepted in Nepal at same rate as bank exchange rates. It is advisable to get some currency exchanged, as it is easy to pay at Shops, small Restaurants etc.
Visa. Indian citizens do not need any Visa but must carry Indentity Proof , like Passport, Driving Licence, Voter Card.
It is important to note that you should NOT plan a visit to Nepal during Dussera, which is their main festival. The Shops, Restaurants and Markets are closed for more than a week.
18 Oct 2018. Departed by Nepal airlines Flt No RA 206 at 10.40 and arrived late at Kathmandu at 1.40 PM. We were Picked up from international airport and transferred to Oasis Hotel, in Thamel. The Hotel is good and located in Thamel, the tourist area with shops all around. The Hotel has No Lift.
After little rest we went for sightseeing of Budanilakanta Temple ( The sleeping Vishnu God statue on the snakes) . The temple is of Lord Vishnu. There was no rush.
Then we went to Buddha Stupa (The world’s largest stupa and a sight of great reincarnation of the Buddhism). It has an Entry fee of NPR 100. It is a good walk around.

Finally we went to Pashuaptinath Temple(The most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal dedicated for lord Shiva, built in 1696)..The Temple have no fees for Hindus. It has fixed opening timings. We waited for 6.00 pm to have darshan.

Today was a long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal. (210 KM 6 hours) We started at 9.30 AM after Breakfast from the hotel. It took 3 hours drive for Manakamana Temple. The temple is visited by a Cable car , which has an entrance ticket of NPR 500. On reaching we were informed that cable car is under repair for 3 Days. We then continued our drive to Pokhara. We reached around 5.30 PM and checked into Hotel. After little rest we went to Bindabasini Temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati.

After Breakfast we went to the Pokhara lake.
Then we went to see Davis Falls.It is also called Patale Chango in Nepali which means underground Waterfall. The Davi’s fall is an unique waterfall in which water flows about 500 feet through the natural tunnel at the depth of 100 feet directly into a narrow and deep canal which has no end. It has an Entrance Ticket of 30NPR. It is good to see in rains but then in rains it is not good time to be in Nepal. There after we went to see Gupterswar Mahadev caves which are close by to Davis Fall. Just a short walk of 10 Mins. The Entrance ticket is 100 NPR . In the cave you can see Davis fall as well.

After breakfast we went for site seeing and went first to Durbar Square.It has Entrance ticket of NPR 150. You can see various temple buildings , which are mostly damaged by earth quake and majority are closed for entrance. You can also see the Museum which is pictures and some remnants of Temples taken out after Earth quake. You can also see the reconstruction work.

We went to Kumari Housebut were told that she will not be seen for three days. She comes for few seconds in a window for public to see her.

Then we went to Swoyambhu, money Temple. It is located on a hill. There is a Stupa next to it. The Temple is closed due to reconstruction work . You can see Kathmandu valley from here.
We then departed Kathmandu by Nepal air Flt RA217 at 17.00 and arrival Delhi at 18.40 hrs.
